Explanation of the Logo
The JPO logo represents the initials of its English name “Japan Patent Office” as the main motif, and means familiarity and trust.In the logo, “J” symbolizes a person, which expresses the JPO’s attitude to hear the voices of users and to provide a high-quality service to meet their needs. This rounded figure of “jumping person” represents the JPO’s stance to tackle various IP-related challenges toward the next generation, and to make a leap for continuous evolution. “The blue oval” symbolizes the intellect, and the construction of a global intellectual property system, by which we expresses the attitude to quickly and appropriately implement diversified intellectual property measures.
