Vor dem Schiedsgericht der World Intellectual property organization WIPO hat der Europäische Fußballverband Union des Associations Européenes de Football (UEFA) die Domain uefa.es erstritten.

Die UEFA berief sich im Verfahren auf ihre nach Madrider Markenabkommen international registrierten UEFA Marken und deren weltweite Bekanntheit.

Das Schiedsgericht ordnete die Übertragung der Domain an.
