Das Verb „to pimp“, das ursprünglich von „Pimp“ (deutsch: Zuhälter) stammt und so viel wie „Zuhälter sein“ meint, fand mit der Hip-Hop-Kultur Eingang ins Mainstream-Vokabular und wird heute vor allem im Sinne von „aufmotzen“ oder „aufstylen“ verwendet.
