Rolls-Royce erfolgreich im Schiedsverfahren
Vor dem Schiedsgericht der World Intellectual Property Organization hat die britische Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Limited die Domains rollsroycepromo.net, rollsroycepromotions.com und rollsroycepromotions.org eingeklagt.
Die Klägerin stützte ihren Anspruch auf die bekannte Marke ROLLS-ROYCE, die in Großbritannien seit 1907 und in den USA seit 1935 registriert ist.
Die in den USA ansässige Domaininhaberin gab im Verfahren keine Stellungnahme ab. Das Schiedsgericht ordnete die Übertragung der Domains an.

Die Domaininhaberin wird wahrscheinlich schon damit gerechnet haben, dass sie die Domains nicht auf immer und ewig behalten kann und sie ihr evtl abgenommen werden ohne dass sie Geld sieht. Da wird sie es wahrscheinlich einfach mal auf einen Verusch hat ankommen lassen. Manchmal rentiert sich sowas ja doch.
