Member states of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) have stepped up work on a number of topical issues relating to trademarks and industrial designs. This came at a meeting of WIPO’s Standing Committee on the Law of Trademarks, Industrial Designs and Geographical Indications (SCT). The 17th session of the SCT, which met from May 7 to 11, 2007, was attended by 77 member states, four intergovernmental organizations and 16 non—governmental organizations.

Alle Jahre wieder funktioniert es hervorragend: Das Geschäft mit der Weihnachtsfreude. Doch bei der Absicherung der Schutzrechte für typische Weihnachtsprodukte hat jetzt die Marke Christkindles Glühwein eine Schlappe erlitten. Das Bundespatentgericht (Az: 26 W (pat) 69/04) hat die Löschung der Marke (Registernummer: 302 23 813) aus dem deutschen Markenregister beschlossen.

Community IP Rights – Present & Future

The International Trademark Association (INTA) and the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM) are pleased to present their third collaborative conference to trademark practitioners. Community IP Rights – Present & Future will be held at the Sheraton Brussels Hotel and Towers in Brussels, Belgium, on Monday, June 4, 2007.
